Travel

People who know me well often say, “Oh, Serena doesn’t like fun.” This statement is pretty accurate. Most of the things that people think are fun really don’t appeal to me, i.e. roller coasters (why would I want to feel like I’m dying?), swimming (being submerged in water for this portion of the day. . . . I don’t get it), hiking (I’m what you might call “indoorsy”), going to the movies (I’m stuck in this seat for 3 hours and can’t do ANYTHING but stare at this screen?), playing games (anything involving competition really is a snooze).

One thing I do enjoy a great deal is travel. I think “enjoy” doesn’t really describe it accurately – it’s more of an obsession. Like, to the point where I get anxiety if I don’t have a trip booked at any given time. We are fortunate enough to travel a lot, both with and without our kids, and I would love to share some of my favorite travel tips for making every trip as enjoyable for everyone as possible (even when, like me, you’re the one who has to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to planning the vacations).
