About The Bossy Brunette

thebossyb.com

Hey guys! Welcome to thebossyb.com, the Unofficial Lazy Girl’s Guide to Getting Things Done! I have created The Bossy Brunette as a community for busy women who want to do it all and need just a little help (who doesn’t?) trying to thrive in a hectic world while still making time to focus on what matters. I would love it if you would follow my blog and let me bully you into living a happier, calmer, and more productive life!

The Boss

I’m Serena Cooper, and I’m the voice, writer, and creator of The Bossy Brunette. I also happen to be a lawyer, wife, mom to 4 year-old twins, step-mom to 3 bonus sons, and general know-it-all. Between drafting trusts, getting lunches made and dinner on the table, staying in shape, planning our next vacation(s!), keeping the spark alive with my SUPER handsome husband (back of head pictured above) – oh, AND raising two extraordinary little humans, life can get. . . chaotic. I think I do pretty darn well at it all, with a little (ok, a lot of) help.

As my close friends and family all know, I tend to be a little bossy. I like to think of myself as. . . aggressively helpful. Even though this blog is supposed to be a “Lazy Girl’s Guide,” I don’t think many people would describe me as lazy – I am running around from the time I wake up (usually before my kids) until after what I call the Royal Bedtime Procession, and often for a few hours after that. I read (a LOT), I do research on everything under the sun, and I try to educate myself on something new every single day.

My hope is that, as a formerly Lazy Girl who couldn’t fathom the thought of getting up at the crack of dawn but now lives 4 separate lifetimes before noon, I can help you figure out the best way for you to really start getting things done so you can have time to actually enjoy this crazy, wonderful, ordinary life. And the best part is, I’ve already done a lot of the work so you don’t have to – but you will have to do what I tell you (this is The Bossy Brunette, after all).
