5 Amazon Tech Deals Not to Miss

I used to be one of those people who would be standing outside a department store at 4:30 a.m. on Black Friday with a cup of coffee in my hand. Now that I have little kids, there’s no way I’m getting out of the house for any serious shopping before the sun comes up. Ah, to be young and insane again. Anyway, this post is for a few tech products that I love. If you’re not into tech, or if you ARE into beauty products, check out my Black Friday beauty deals post.

I still look forward to Black Friday every year – that and Amazon Prime Day, which holds me over till November. I pretty much always wait until one of these days to buy any Amazon devices that I want (Kindle tablets, Echos, etc.) because you can’t beat the prices Amazon offers on its own products on Black Friday or Prime Day. I am listing a couple of Amazon items that I love on this list, as well as a couple of other great deals that you shouldn’t miss if you’re already in the market for these items.

First, All the Amazon Things

Fire TV Stick.

Whether you get the regular Fire TV Stick ($19.99) or the Fire TV Stick 4K ($24.99), these are both at an amazing price this week. Even though all our TVs are smart TVs, we keep a streaming stick in our travel bag so that we are never stuck in a hotel room or rental home watching cable (I mean, really – the horror). We plug our Fire Stick into the back of the TV and we have access to all our own (or the kids’) stuff – Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, Prime Video, Disney+. It’s THE BEST. And it is so tiny, it hardly takes up any room in your bag. (Tip for Amazon Visa holders: If you have an Amazon Visa, you will get 15% back on the Fire TV Stick 4K instead of the usual 5%, so upgrading to the 4K is the way to go)

Fire HD Tablet 8. We got these in the 2-bundle a couple of years ago for the twins, and they are still going strong. This week, you can get one for $79.99, which includes 32GB of memory and the 8″ screen (I personally don’t think it’s worth saving the $20 by getting the 7″ screen version), and it also includes the kid-proof case because – you know, kids. You also get 1 year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, which we really didn’t use much, but you might like it. We only use ours to let the kids watch movies that we have downloaded when we are on a long car trip or on a plane, and these work GREAT for this purpose. You will also find that the bundle of 2 of these is only $139.99, which is a fantastic deal.

Kindle Paperwhite. I can’t even tell you how much I love my Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, and it’s down from its usual $129.99 to $84.99 this whole week. I read a lot (when I’m not pulling my hair out trying to keep up with this blog). I have the Kindle app on every device in my possession – my iPhone, iPad, the kids’ Kindle Fires, etc. A color device is great for reading with the kids while we’re waiting in line somewhere or when we’re on vacation and can’t bring ALL the books with us. But, for mom – I LOVE my Paperwhite. It is so light and compact, I can pretty much throw it in any bag. I also love that it doesn’t give me eye strain the way other devices do when I’m reading for a while – and I don’t have to worry that I’m going to finish my book on the plane because the next one is already queued up and ready to go. Every Black Friday and Prime Day, these babies go on super duper sale, and I always try to find an excuse to get one for someone. If you’re looking for something for yourself or for the big reader in your life, this is the winner. (I’m sneaking in one more deal here: Audible has a great Black Friday deal going on now which basically works out to costing you a little under $6 for 3 months of membership – many Audible books will sync with your Kindle app so you can go seamlessly between reading and listening).

The Other Stuff

iPad 10.2″ 32GB. There are some games being played on this one. Last night, very briefly, this was listed for $250 on both Amazon and Best Buy. It has gone up now to $280, but I suspect that both Amazon and Best Buy will drop the price on Friday back down to $250. This is an awesome deal, so if you were considering getting one for yourself or anyone else this holiday season, keep an eye on this.

Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones. I am hardly an audiophile, so I really can’t comment on whether these are the best wireless headphones out there. I know that they are great at noise-cancelling, the sound is clear, and the controls are pretty user friendly. These are usually around $350, but Amazon has them on sale now for $279.95, for a savings of $70. If someone you know would love these for Christmas, grab them at this price!

Happy Shopping!

Black Friday can be super overwhelming, which is why I’ve limited my tech list to a few things that I really think shouldn’t be missed if you already happen to be in the market. If I missed anything you think should be included, I would love to hear about any other great tech deals you’ve found on Amazon this week!

I’m totally intrigued by that Fire TV Stick! I’ve heard of them but never really paid attention to what they are used for. Sound great for families!

Oh, they are the best! We have like 3 of them – sometimes when we rent a house, we plug one in downstairs for the kids and a second one in the master bedroom so we can watch our shows at night – and they’re so cheap right now!!

Wow what a great idea about the fire stick I’ve never thought of getting one to travel with. We have Roku’s around the house. I have my eye on an Alexa this year.
